This client had a poorly build small kitchen extension from the 1970's and a 1980's conservatory with polypropylene roof connected to it. The original 1930's semi was perfect for transformation
Stage One was to remove the conservatory and extend the slab to project 4M from the rear wall. Some nifty groundworks to integrate the old and new slabs and build up the brickwork to provide a coherent, uniform extension.
The low 1st floor window limited the pitch possible on a gable roof but the client was adamant on the design so we opted for an Icotherm hybrid gable roof with structural steels to enable a low pitch to the roof.
The knock through to open up the old original rooms made a huge open plan living space. Again some complex alterations to get the old internal floor levels which had been modified many times all to come together so we could get a uniform finish.
For this client we did the internal floor finishes, kitchen fit and refurbishment of the original internal rooms as well. The result is excellent.
